Blue Featherleg
Platycnemis foliacea
The adult blue featherleg inhabits vegetation along slow-flowing streams, marshes, and ponds. It perches low among stems, then makes quick flights to snatch small flying insects from the air. Males are marked with a powdery blue coloration and conspicuously broadened, feather-like lower legs.
