Pallas's Fish Eagle
Haliaeetus leucoryphus

An adult fish eagle of large rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and marshes across parts of South and Central Asia. It hunts mainly fish by soaring, perching, and plunging low to seize prey with powerful talons, while also taking waterbirds, carrion, or other available animals. Adults are strong territorial flyers and may give loud calls around nesting sites and favored hunting perches. The species is globally threatened, with wetland loss, disturbance, and declining fish resources affecting many populations.
