Brazilian Sharpnose Shark
Rhizoprionodon lalandii

The Brazilian sharpnose shark lives in warm coastal waters over sandy bottoms, around estuaries, and near river mouths in the western Atlantic. It actively pursues small fishes, squid, and crustaceans, catching prey with its narrow, sharp-snouted jaws. This relatively small requiem shark is viviparous, giving birth to live young after internal development.
