Blue Wildebeest
Connochaetes taurinus

Blue wildebeest inhabit open savannas, grasslands, and lightly wooded country across eastern and southern Africa. Adults are highly mobile grazers, feeding mainly on short grasses and following seasonal rains to fresh pasture. Both sexes carry curved horns, which are used in forceful contests and defense, while their migrations can involve enormous concentrations of animals.
