Whale Shark
Rhincodon typus

Adult whale sharks inhabit warm tropical and subtropical seas, often gathering where plankton, fish eggs, or spawning fish are abundant. They cruise slowly through the water and feed by filtering enormous volumes of water through their wide mouths. Despite their immense size, they are harmless to people and are known for their distinctive pale spots and stripes. As the largest living fish, adults can exceed 10 metres in length.
