King Cobra
Ophiophagus hannah

Adult king cobras inhabit forests, bamboo thickets, wetlands, and agricultural edges across South and Southeast Asia. They are active hunters that feed chiefly on other snakes, tracking prey with their keen sense of smell before delivering a rapid venomous bite. When threatened, an adult raises the front of its body, spreads its hood, and gives a deep hiss. It is the world's longest venomous snake, with exceptional individuals exceeding 5 metres in length.
