Superb Starling
Lamprotornis superbus

The Superb Starling inhabits open savanna, thorn scrub, farmland, and settlements across East Africa. Adults forage chiefly on the ground for insects and other invertebrates, while also taking fruit and scraps. Its glossy blue-green upperparts contrast strikingly with a white breast crossed by a broad chestnut band, and it commonly gives sharp calls while moving through its habitat.
