Cope's Gray Treefrog
Dryophytes chrysoscelis

The adult is an arboreal frog of woodlands, forest edges, swamps, and backyards, often resting on tree bark or buildings by day. It hunts insects and other small invertebrates at night, relying on camouflage, sticky toe pads, and sudden tongue strikes. Males give a fast, harsh trill during warm rainy nights to attract mates around temporary pools. One notable fact is that it closely resembles the gray treefrog, but has a faster call and a different chromosome count.
