Alfalfa Webworm Moth
Loxostege cereralis
The adult moth is active chiefly at night in agricultural fields, grasslands, and other open habitats. It flies between vegetation and may take small amounts of nectar or other liquid food, while seeking mates and places to lay eggs. Its pale, patterned wings help break up its outline when it settles against dry plant material.
