Mesh weaver
Arethyna volucripes

The mesh weaver inhabits shrubs, grasses, and low branches in open woodland and hedgerows. It spins a fine, tangled web, then waits in a concealed corner for small flying insects to strike the silk. Captured prey is bitten and wrapped before feeding. Its cribellate silk is combed into especially woolly, adhesive-looking threads without using sticky glue droplets.
