Tussar Silk Moth
Antheraea mylitta
Adult tussar silk moths are nocturnal forest insects found across parts of South Asia. They fly after dark to locate mates, using their broad wings and prominent eyespots to startle potential predators. Adults have reduced mouthparts and generally do not feed, living on energy stored during the larval stage.
