Chamois
Rupicapra rupicapra

Adult chamois inhabit steep alpine meadows, rocky slopes, and open woodland across the mountains of Europe. They browse grasses, herbs, leaves, and shoots, moving between elevations with the seasons. Sure-footed and exceptionally agile, they can flee across rugged cliffs and snowfields that slow many predators. Both sexes carry small hooked horns, which are used in displays and fights.
