Eared Dove
Zenaida auriculata

The Eared Dove is a slender, fast-flying pigeon of open woodland, scrub, farmland, parks, and towns across much of South America. Adults forage mainly on the ground for seeds and grains, supplementing their diet with small fruits and occasional invertebrates. It is recognized by its dark cheek patch and the long, soft cooing calls used in display and communication.
