Alpine Chough
Pyrrhocorax graculus

The Alpine Chough lives above the tree line in European and Asian mountain ranges, often frequenting cliffs, alpine meadows, and ski resorts. It is an exceptionally agile flier, using updrafts and acrobatic twists to search for insects and other small invertebrates. In summer it also eats berries and seeds, while winter birds readily scavenge food around mountain refuges. Its bright yellow bill and red legs distinguish it from the closely related Red-billed Chough.
