Morrison's Sallow
Eupsilia morrisoni

The adult Morrison's Sallow is a nocturnal moth of wooded habitats, flying after dark in search of food and mates. Adults visit available sugary sources such as flower nectar or tree sap, while their cryptically patterned wings help them disappear against bark and dead leaves by day. It flies with a soft, erratic flutter that makes it difficult to follow in dim light. Sallow moths are notable for their cool-season activity, with some adults able to survive periods of cold weather.
