Muskox
Ovibos moschatus

Adult muskoxen inhabit Arctic tundra, rocky uplands, and the edges of polar deserts in North America and Greenland. They graze chiefly on sedges, grasses, dwarf shrubs, and willow shoots, digging through snow when necessary. Adults defend themselves by facing danger with their heavy heads and horns, and bulls may clash violently during the breeding season. Their exceptionally dense underwool, called qiviut, is among the warmest natural fibers in the world.
