Aucha perch
Siniperca chuatsi
Adult Aucha perch live in lakes, reservoirs, and slow rivers with abundant underwater cover. They are ambush predators that wait near vegetation or structure before lunging at smaller fish. Unlike many perch-like fishes, adults rely heavily on fish prey rather than actively grazing on invertebrates.
