Red-winged Blackbird Fledgling
Agelaius phoeniceus (fledgling)

This newly feathered young bird leaves the nest but stays hidden among reeds, grasses, and low shrubs in marshes and wet meadows. It follows its parents, begging for insects and seeds while gradually learning to forage on its own. Though capable of short, clumsy flights, it is still vulnerable to predators and relies on dense cover and parental alarm calls.
