Azure-winged Magpie Nestling
Cyanopica cyanus (nestling)
Azure-winged Magpie nestlings remain in a cup-shaped nest in trees or dense shrubs within open woodland, orchards, and parkland. They are fed by their parents on insects, small invertebrates, and soft pieces of fruit or other gathered food. Barely mobile at first, they respond to returning adults with persistent, noisy begging calls and grow rapidly under parental care.
