Leopard Cub
Panthera pardus (cub)
Leopard cubs are raised in hidden dens within thick vegetation, rocky crevices, or sheltered forest cover across their mother's range. They remain dependent on their mother for milk and protection at first, later beginning to eat meat and practice stalking, pouncing, and climbing. Their spotted coat helps conceal them from predators, and mothers may move cubs between dens to keep their location secret.
