European Starling Fledgling
Sturnus vulgaris (fledgling)

European starling fledglings leave their nest cavities before they are fully skilled fliers and often gather with family groups in parks, farmland, gardens, and urban areas. They follow adults while learning to probe lawns and soil for insects, worms, and larvae, though they may also eat fruit and scraps. Their brownish juvenile plumage lacks the adult's glossy, iridescent sheen. Newly fledged birds continue to beg loudly and rely on parental feeding for a period after departure.
