Bonaparte's Gull
Chroicocephalus philadelphia

Adult Bonaparte's Gulls breed around boreal ponds, marshes, and wooded wetlands, then winter mainly along coasts and large inland waters. They catch flying insects in the air and pick small fish, crustaceans, and aquatic insects from the surface. Breeding adults develop a striking black hood, while their quick, buoyant flight is especially suited to aerial insect hunting.
