Rosy Barb Fry
Pethia conchonius (fry)
Rosy barb fry shelter among submerged plants along the quiet edges of ponds and slow streams. They pick at microscopic algae, tiny crustaceans, and other drifting food while making quick dashes for cover. Their pale, nearly transparent bodies provide some protection from predators in shallow water.
