Eurasian Golden Oriole Hatchling
Oriolus oriolus (hatchling)
This newly hatched chick remains in a woven cup nest high in broadleaf trees, sheltered by attentive parents. It is fed mainly soft insects and caterpillars brought to the nest. The bare, helpless young signal hunger with persistent begging calls and wide yellow mouths.
