Branched Soft Coral Eater
Phyllodesmium poindimiei
This small nudibranch lives on tropical coral reefs, especially where soft corals and sea fans grow. It crawls over its cnidarian prey, grazing with a rasping radula and blending among branching coral forms. Stinging cells taken from its prey can be retained in specialized tissues for defense.
