Freshwater Crocodile
Crocodylus johnstoni

Adult freshwater crocodiles live in rivers, creeks, floodplains, and billabongs across northern Australia. They ambush fish, crustaceans, frogs, reptiles, birds, and small mammals from the water's edge. Compared with saltwater crocodiles, they have a narrower snout and are generally less aggressive toward people, though they will defend themselves when threatened.
