Royal Goliath Beetle
Goliathus regius

Royal Goliath Beetles inhabit tropical West African forests, where adults visit damaged trees and ripe fruit for sugary sap and juices. They can fly strongly between feeding sites, though their heavy bodies make takeoff conspicuous. Males use their forked head horns to push and wrestle rival males away from food and potential mates.
