White seabream
Diplodus sargus

Adult white seabream inhabit rocky reefs, seagrass beds, and sandy coastal bottoms in the Mediterranean and nearby Atlantic waters. They use strong jaws to crush or bite molluscs, crustaceans, sea urchins, algae, and worms. The dark band at the base of the tail is a distinctive field mark, especially on mature fish.
