Common Treeshrew
Tupaia glis

The common treeshrew is a diurnal, agile mammal of Southeast Asian forests, scrub, plantations, and gardens. It races along branches and through understory vegetation while searching for insects, fruit, and other small food items. Adults maintain territories and use scent marks and vocal signals during encounters. Despite its name, it is not a true shrew and is more closely related to primates and colugos than to shrews.
