Argali
Ovis ammon
Argali inhabit cold, treeless mountains, high plateaus, and open steppe terrain across Central Asia. They graze on grasses, sedges, and other hardy mountain plants, moving across steep slopes in search of forage. Adult rams grow enormous curling horns and use forceful clashes during contests for breeding access.
