Orange-winged Amazon
Amazona amazonica

Orange-winged Amazons occupy forest edges, open woodland, palm groves, mangroves, and cultivated areas across northern South America. They climb and fly between fruiting trees, feeding on fruits, seeds, berries, nuts, buds, and blossoms with a powerful hooked bill. An alert individual gives harsh calls and can bite or strike with its wings when threatened. The orange patch beneath each wing is most conspicuous during flight.
