European Tree Frog
Hyla arborea

The adult European Tree Frog lives in warm, bushy wetlands, reedbeds, orchards, and woodland edges, often climbing shrubs and trees with adhesive toe pads. It feeds on flies, moths, beetles, and other small invertebrates caught by a rapid tongue strike. Males are especially vocal in the breeding season, producing loud repeated calls from ponds at night. Its smooth green skin provides excellent camouflage among leaves, though individuals can shift toward brownish or gray tones.
