Golden Poison Frog
Phyllobates terribilis

The adult golden poison frog lives on the wet forest floor of Colombia's Pacific rainforest, often near streams and dense leaf litter. It actively hunts ants, mites, termites, and other tiny invertebrates during the day. Alkaloids obtained through its natural diet contribute to an exceptionally potent defensive skin toxin, advertised by its bright yellow body.
