Waterbuck
Kobus ellipsiprymnus
Waterbuck inhabit savannas, floodplains, and open woodland close to rivers, lakes, or marshes. They graze mainly on coarse grasses and rest in shaded cover during the heat of the day. Males use their long, ridged horns in forceful displays and fights, while the species is recognizable by the pale ring around its rump.
