Egyptian Mongoose
Herpestes ichneumon

The Egyptian mongoose inhabits grasslands, scrub, farmland, and riverine cover across parts of Africa and the Mediterranean. It searches actively through vegetation and along banks for rodents, insects, reptiles, birds, eggs, and other small prey. Its long, flexible body and rapid reactions help it tackle dangerous prey, including snakes.
