Twin-flagged Jumping Spider
Anasaitis canosus
The adult twin-flagged jumping spider inhabits sunny woodland edges, gardens, and low vegetation across the southeastern United States. It actively stalks flies, small insects, and other arthropods, then leaps accurately onto prey. Its large forward-facing eyes provide excellent vision for judging distance before a jump.
