Australian Shelduck
Tadorna tadornoides

Australian Shelducks inhabit freshwater wetlands, estuaries, farm dams, and nearby open grasslands across southern Australia. They graze on grasses and crops, while also taking aquatic invertebrates and other small foods from shallow water. Adults are strong fliers and are notable for forming long-term pair bonds, often nesting in tree hollows or sheltered ground sites.
