Cardinal Lory
Pseudeos cardinalis

Cardinal lories inhabit lowland rainforest, forest edges, and coconut groves across the Solomon Islands. They move actively through the canopy, feeding chiefly on nectar, pollen, fruit, and blossoms with a specialized brush-tipped tongue. Their vivid scarlet plumage makes them among the most conspicuous parrots in their range.
