Lichenose Leaf-tailed Gecko
Uroplatus sikorae
The adult lichenose leaf-tailed gecko inhabits humid rainforest trees in eastern Madagascar. Nocturnal and largely motionless by day, it hunts insects and other arthropods from bark and branches after dark. Its ragged leaf-shaped tail, flattened body, and lichen-patterned skin provide some of the most convincing camouflage among geckos.
