Conical Trough Snail
Rochia conus

Adults inhabit shallow marine rocky bottoms and reef habitats, where they move across stone and coral rubble. They graze films of algae and attached microorganisms with their radula, usually feeding slowly over firm surfaces. The sturdy conical shell protects the soft body and can be closed off with the operculum when threatened. Its shell shape gives the animal a low, stable profile against waves and currents.
