Bearded Reedling
Panurus biarmicus
Bearded Reedlings live in extensive wetlands and reed beds, where they climb stems and move through dense vegetation. They eat insects in warmer months and shift heavily toward reed seeds during winter. Males are notable for their black moustache-like facial markings, while both sexes can cling acrobatically to swaying reed stems.
