Spiketop Applesnail
Pomacea bridgesii

This freshwater apple snail inhabits ponds, marshes, slow streams, and planted shallows. It slowly grazes algae, biofilm, detritus, and tender aquatic vegetation, often becoming active after dark. A breathing siphon allows it to take air from the surface while remaining mostly submerged.
