Blue Swimming Crab
Portunus pelagicus

Adult blue swimming crabs inhabit coastal seas, estuaries, and sandy or muddy seabeds across the Indo-Pacific. They are active predators and scavengers, taking molluscs, crustaceans, worms, and small fish. Broad paddle-shaped rear legs let them swim quickly through the water when disturbed.
