Agile Gibbon
Hylobates agilis
Agile gibbons inhabit the upper canopy of tropical forests in Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula. They move rapidly beneath branches with powerful arm-over-arm swings and feed mainly on fruit, along with leaves, flowers, and small invertebrates. Adults use far-carrying calls to advertise and defend their territory through the forest.
