Geoffroy's Tailless Bat
Anoura geoffroyi
Geoffroy's tailless bat lives in tropical and subtropical forests from Mexico through Central America and into South America, roosting in caves and other protected spaces. It flies at night to feed chiefly on nectar and pollen, while also taking fruit and insects. Its exceptionally long tongue makes it an important pollinator of night-blooming plants.
