Oriental Fire-bellied Toad
Bombina orientalis
The adult Oriental fire-bellied toad occupies ponds, wet woodland edges, rice fields, and damp grasslands. It hunts small insects, worms, and other invertebrates, often foraging close to water. When threatened, it can arch its body to reveal a bright red-orange belly that warns predators of its toxic skin secretions.
