Feather Duster Worm
Sabellastarte spectabilis

Adults inhabit coral reefs, lagoons, and sheltered rocky seafloors, living permanently in flexible tubes. Their broad, colorful feather-duster crowns filter plankton and organic particles from passing water. The crown is quickly retracted at the first sign of danger and may be regenerated if damaged.
