Black Finger Crab
Ozius truncatus

Adult black finger crabs inhabit wave-swept rocky shores, sheltering in cracks and beneath boulders between tidal visits. They are opportunistic feeders that use strong claws to take small animals and scavenge available food. The dark fingers on the claws are a notable identifying feature and help distinguish this crab from many shore-crab relatives.
