Ghost Catfish
Kryptopterus vitreolus
Adult ghost catfish inhabit clear, slow-moving rivers and streams in Southeast Asia, usually occupying midwater. They feed on tiny crustaceans, aquatic insect larvae, and other small drifting prey. Adults often travel in loose schools, and their remarkable transparency helps obscure their outline in the water.
