California aglaja
Navanax inermis

California aglaja lives on shallow sandy or muddy seafloors, often around eelgrass beds and sheltered coastal waters. This active sea slug follows chemical trails to hunt other sea slugs and related soft-bodied animals. Despite its soft appearance, it can engulf prey surprisingly large relative to its own body.
